Exist-T-a Virtua Fighter 6?

It has been almost a decade that the last game Virtua Fighter has made its way into the arcades. Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown was worn on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2012, and the fans were looking forward to the next Virtu Fighter game. Sega teases a Virtua Fighter announcement for some time now, and it seems that we could have a soon.

At Tokyo Games Show, Sega announced that he was working on a new Virtu Fighter project. For the moment, Sega did not reveal if it will be called Virtua Fighter 6 or if it will bring a completely different name, but the teaser indicates "Virtu Fighter X Esports". Apart from this, the teaser does not reveal much and presents primarily excerpts from previous tournaments of Virtua Fighter.

According to the teaser, it is quite obvious that Sega will focus on the Esport angle in the next Virtu Fighter game. The official website also indicates that Virtua Fighter "will be restarted as an e-sport title to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Sega's creation."

With the recent growth of the Esport industry, a game Virtua Fighter with an important emphasis on Esport could prove to be the next big novelty. It remains to be seen when we will see more on the project.
